It's not stopping.

SO. FFXIII-2 LEFT ME IN TEARS. OBVIOUSLY. AND MY INNER NOERAH FANGIRL WAS LESS THAN PLEASED. SO THIS IS WHAT I HAVE COME UP WITH TO FIX EVERYTHING.

At the end of FFXIII-2 CHAOS was released into the world. Now. Cauis said that the CHAOS has the power to WARP THE TIMELINE and DESTROY THE PAST.

My totally logical conclusion....It rewrote the past....into...

FINAL FANTASY VERSUS XIII

Shut up it makes perfect sense.

NOEL BECAME NOCTIS even the name has...very slight...similarities! Noel and Noctis even kind of look alike!

SERAH BECAME STELLA. NAME SIMILARITIES AGAIN. even in the last name!....sort of. These two look sort of alike as well! And anyone who says otherwise, just go have a look at the original concepts for Serah back in the early stages, would you? Thanks. It saves me the trouble of YELLING AT YOU SOME MORE.

THEY ARE BOTH HINTED TO HAVE POWERS RELATED TO ETRO. I really don't have to explain that one do I?

....Okay, for those who are clearly going to try to shoot down my last chance at happiness, here. I shall explain.

SERAH HAS THE EYES OF ETRO FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

As for Noel. This one was a little harder...BUT. I managed to pull something together! In one of the paradox endings, Noel defeated Cauis and inherited the Heart of Etro. My theory, is that while, yes. Etro sort of died when they defeated Cauis, some of that power was indeed transfered to Noel. Perhaps why he didn't disappear entirely even thought the future he was supposed to have come from no longer existed!

Instead, he was just reborn as Noctis! Who would eventually find his way back to Serah Stella and everyone can see the potential between  those two, right? :D

BUT ONCE AGAIN THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO TRY TO SHOOT DOWN MY crazy impossible totally just pulling this out of my ass while half insane from lack of sleep THEORY. THEIR WEAPON OF CHOICE THIS TIME? IF ETRO WAS KILLED, HOW IS SHE PRESENT IN VERSUS XIII?

A VERY GOOD QUESTION.

But once again, I tell you TO SHUT UP AND LET ME FINISH RANTING. I HAVE SOMETHING FOR THAT TOO!

Cauis said that he defeated Lightning, right? WRONG. She appeared later to save Serah and Noel!

But what happened to her after that?

She's seen crystallized on the throne of Etro! HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN? SHUT UP AND I'LL TELL YOU!

My theory is in a last ditch effort to save the world, she sacrificed her own Heart of Chaos referenced in official FF mythology. look it up to Etro, giving her just enough power to keep herself alive, though severely weakened. This cost Lightning her life, and the once powerful guardian of Etro's legacy now sits crystallized upon her throne.

IT ALSO EXPLAINS WHY THEY PUT OFF VERSUS XIII FOR SO FREAKING LONG. THEY HAD TO GET THE SETUP FOR IT....well. set up. AND THAT WAS XIII-2. THE STAGE IS SET. AND NOW THEY CAN GET TO WORK ON FIXING THINGS. OR AT LEAST GIVING US SOME BETTER FANSERVICE. NOERAH FOREVER! Which would now technically be NOCTELLA....Or something. Idk.


.................................................Yeah okay that's all I have now. BUT I HAVE FELLOW HEADCANON-ERS. AND ONCE THEY'RE AWAKE AND ONLINE, WE SHALL BRAINSTORM!!! THERE IS NO ESCAPE FROM THIS THEORY. FOR IT IS THE LAST HOPE FOR A HAPPY ENDING FOR SERAH AND NOEL THAT I CAN SEE. AND DAMMIT, THEY DESERVE A HAPPY ENDING.
